Meet Alley Zepeda

Photographer Alley Zepeda has been shooting photographs since 1990. She attended the Art Institute of Houston's Applied Photography Program before moving to Los Angeles. Since completing her BA in Studio Art at Scripps College, she has freelanced and consulted with private clients on a wide array of projects. Some of these projects include photography, web site design, and costume design and construction. She has her own in-home studio where she does her photography and client consultations.

In 2001 as part of an alliance with a Hollywood night-club, she began doing professional event photography. As the staff photographer between 2001 and 2004, she has shot over 200 weekly events and created a huge library of collateral images for the club to use for promotion in print and online. This created a nice addition to her repertoire of traditional studio work and fashion photography, and she continues to broaden her horizons by taking on new kinds of commercial photography projects.

Before changing her career focus to photography. Alley Zepeda persued a successful corporate career focused on digital imaging and content creation. As Studio Director at ModaCAD, she led a team of 12 core artists in creating content-rich consumer and commercial software products. Her role required her to be involved in the software development process with the Engineering Team and develop the processes and tools needed to deliver 2D and 3D branded content in a cost effective manner. In her role as a Technologist at Viewpoint, she was a billable resource as a visualization expert. She consulted internally to Computer Associates and externally to premiere clients to help them integrate visualization into their business processes such as product delevopment, marketing, advertising, and sales. In this capacity, she has consulted with companies such as Home Depot, HP, Sony, Sears, and Forest City Ratner.
